After 40 years as an
Information
Scientist, I became
interested in
Creation Science and
realized that for
me, this fundamental
doctrine was taken
for granted and
largely not
considered as
important. To many
of us, creation and
the flood are
fascinating
childrens Bible
stories that we dont
think too much about
as mature
Christians. Here I
share VITAL
knowledge concerning
Creation and why we
MUST defend it .
I am a
young-earth, 6-day
creation scientist.

God Defined
the Week
The majority of
our calendar is
based on
astronomical
events. The day
is the length of
time it takes
for the earth to
resolve once on
its axis. The
month is the
length of time
required for the
moon to orbit
that Earth. And
the years is
based on the how
long it takes
for the Earth to
orbit the Earth.
In contrast, the
week is not
based on any
astronomical
event, but
rather the
creation as
described in the
Bible.
God states that
the creation
took place
during seven
ordinary days.
In Exodus 20:11:
when God
inscribes the 10
Commandments on
tablets of stone
for Moses He
says: "For in
six days the
LORD made the
heavens and the
earth, the sea,
and all that is
in them, but he
rested on the
seventh day.
Therefore the
LORD blessed the
Sabbath day and
made it holy."
It is from the
creation week
and the day of
rest that God
proclaimed, that
we get our 7-day
work week. God
defined the
creation time
periods as
"days", and
likewise
instructed us to
rest after 6
days as He did.
Historical
Use of "Day"
Further support
lies with how
the word "Day"
is used
elsewhere in
scripture. In
every instance
where a day is
described in
theBible using
this terminology
outside of
Genesis, it
always means an
ordinary day.

Dear
Friends:
ProGenesis
is an
outreach
to young
people
who are
influenced
daily to
accept
evolutionary
thinking.
Our
mission
is to
create a
traveling
display
that
creates
the
opportunity
to
present
creation
a
weekend
event
meant to
present
the
gospel
to
school-age
children.
In order
to do
this,
the
centerpiece
will be
Dinosaurs
and
fossils
in a
"hands-on"
display.
Thiswill
be the
main
draw.
We have
already
purchased
more
than 20
fossils.
The main
purpose
of the
ministry,
however,
will be
to
enable
churches
to
schedule
the
display
and to
invite
neighborhood
parents
and
children
to see
the
fossils
and
learn
about
the
SCIENTIFIC
support
for
intelligent
design
and the
Creator.
Three
programs
will be
offered.
One
program
will be
for kids
up to 8
years
old,
another
for kids
from
9-15 and
finally
an
in-depth
adult
seminar.
To
accomplish
this
ProGenesis
has
invested
in many
museum
quality
replicas
and
actual
fossils
that
most
kids
love to
see and
handle.
Beside
the
fossils,
he also
brings
his pet
Macaw
named
Mookie
to youth
groups.
He uses
the bird
to
illustrate
why
design
had to
be
involved
with
God's
creation.
Mookie
loves
children
and the
kids
love to
hold and
pet the
large
bird.
Once the
program
is
complete
we will
replicate
it in
various
areas
throughout
the
country.
